History
Incorporated in 1997, TraderTools Inc. (a Delaware Corporation) is headquartered in New York, with R&D facilities in Israel. The company currently employs more than 60 professionals, most of whom are involved with software and system development, including a management team with more than 100 combined years of experience in financial markets and software development.
TraderTools' initial product addressed the need for connectivity between financial institutions and their clients, resulting in OrderTools™ (formerly LimitSentry), an automated trading limit management solution. The company simultaneously developed real-time financial calculators and executors (RateTools™ / DealTools™), permitting traders of complex financial derivatives to price, quote, and execute in real-time, and a data transmission platform (StreamTools™ / Thinvisible™) capable of supplying real-time messaging and financial data via the Internet.
The advent of web-based portals caused the financial marketplace to shift to online computerized trading.
The initial alternative software solutions to this market shift generally ignored limit orders and margin management in their product offering. As a result, there was a growing demand for an automated process to replace manual tracking systems. The goal was to provide a total system which enabled online foreign exchange trading for small and mid-sized accounts, as well as for larger financial institutions. In mid-2001, TraderTools initiated comprehensive enhancements to its product suite, thus paving the way for a straight-through processing platform, STPlatform™.
In 2008, TraderTools introduced its next-generation Liquidity Management Platform™, which combined pricing, dealing, order management and execution in a single solution. In 2010, the TraderTools solution gained additional focus as a single innovative platform addressing the 4 most pressing FX challenges: an FX pricing engine, FX liquidity aggregation, global FX order management and FX white-labelling. The result is an optimized FX trading platform - with advanced capabilities, like algorithmic FX trading and FX auto-hedging - designed to generate profits.
